More than 65 companies pitched against each other in 15 sporting categories
International Tech Park Bangalore celebrated its annual sporting extravaganza "Healthy Lifestyle Meet" from 16 to 26 March 2009. This ten day event saw participation from over 65 companies and 2000 participants in more than 15 categories of indoor and outdoor games.
With more than 145 companies and over 24,000 employees based out of ITPB, Healthy Lifestyle Meet is a popular platform for the companies to compete in various sporting events, both indoor and outdoor. This year's event included several popular categories like Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Athletics, Throw Ball, Carrom, Push-up, Skipping challenges, Frisbee Golf, Lemon & spoon and three leg races.
On the success of Healthy Lifestyle Meet'09, Mr. LIM Sin Tiow, CEO, Ascendas India, said, "The Healthy Lifestyle Meet is getting bigger with each year, both in terms of sporting categories and participation. This event promotes the concept of a healthy lifestyle amongst our parkites and epitomizes the work-play balance, the essence of our services offered to the organizations operating out of our Parks."
The Healthy Lifestyle Meet concluded today with the award distribution ceremony. This year's trophy of "Overall Champion" went to most deserving Paprikaas Interactive Services Pvt Ltd who won in the maximum number of categories including Volley Ball, Frisbee Golf, Health & fitness and Fun games categories.
The trophy of "Overall Champion" won by Paprikaas is a rolling trophy which will have new contenders next year.
First Indian Corporation, Avesthagen Limited, Bally Technologies, Fidelity Information Services and General Motors are few other participating companies who contented closely with Paprikaas for the trophy of "Overall Champion".
The event was sponsored by Tata Indicom, Microport, Red Bull and Hungrybangalore-dial-for-food.
